Shirley started out as Sharon Hill Crafts with her mother Barbara and father Harold. Potholders, pillows and quilts were the starting point then Shirley was given her maternal grandmother's loom and she started weaving. She now has 4 looms and makes 2 different types of kitchen towels, placemats, table runners and rugs.
John Hall, aka Farmer John from Beekman 1802, crochets and machine knits items found at Shirley’s Quilts & Wovens. "My maternal grandmother taught me how to crochet as a kid. I picked it up again in my 20’s, making afghans for friends. Crocheted several hundred infamous Farmer John barn scarves. Still crochet many afghans, shawls and ponchos. A few years ago, I began using the circular knitting machines and make many items using them."
